T-Mobile reportedly sets employee blackout dates for September 20-22. New iPhones on the way?

According to TmoNews, T-Mobile employees are being prevented from taking any vacation time September 20-22. Coincidentally, this is also the same time the new iPhones are expected to go on sale.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 5S and the lower-priced iPhone 5C at an event on September 10. In the past, iPhones have typically been made available around a week and a half after the announcement, so this timeline makes a lot of sense. Additionally, employee blackouts are a good way to gauge when carriers are planning a major launch. And this time, with two new potential iPhones on the horizon, they’re going to need all hands on deck. Of course, T-Mobile has dismissed these rumors as “speculation” in a comment to CNET, so take this report with a grain of salt.

Considering the iPhone arrived for the first time on T-Mobile earlier this year, if this news is true, it gives us reason to believe that Apple is planning to launch its new phones across multiple carriers at the same time. In fact, this would be the first iPhone launch to take place across all four major U.S. wireless providers.
